DAYS IN QUARANTINE

You can be happy alone by Jocelyn.F on Dribbble

Happy life, future plans, busy schedule, the time when you had no time for yourself, no time for your kids, no time to go for a date. It’s about the days when we thought we control our lives, it’s about the days when we had no time to live our present because we were too busy planning our future, it’s about the days when we didn’t knew the world will come to a halt.

We have come to a point when we have a lot of time in our hands. The time we thought we won’t ever get. The time that we can spend with ourselves, which we can use to improve, to grow or simply just stare at a wall. Read that book which you have kept in that shelf for too long. Play that games which you have not touched since years. Read those poems which took you days to learn as a kid. Give time to self care. Learn new dance steps. Re-watch those old shows which you loved so much as a kid. Re-live your life. It’s time when we can live our childhood days again, free from all bondage and no one to judge us.

The days in quarantine is not a competition where you have to prove yourself by breathtaking paintings, delicious cooking or maybe by showing some marvelous dance steps. This quarantine is the time where you can just be yourself without fearing of anyone judging you. Cook even if it doesn’t come out looking good. Dance like no one is watching you. Sing like you are alone in a room with headphones on. Paint even if it’s bad than what kids draw. Because this is the time where you can do whatever makes you feel happy and cheer you up. Because this is the time where there’s no winning or losing it’s just about making you feel happy and stay strong.

We are gifted with the most treasure thing in the world “TIME” and a lot of it. We have all the time in the world to repair our lives, to chill, to play, to do whatever we want. Still some of us are busy in hating this time and again planning for future. The future which doesn’t work on our plans. Hating this time which we have right now in our hand is just like wasting our whole life because no one knows whom did we saw for the last time before this lock down took place. Stay positive. Give relationships second chance. Get to know your family better. Make your friendships stronger. Don’t hold grudges. Because maybe you won’t get time to fix things in coming future.

Stay Strong. Stay Happy. Help Needy. Keep faith.

LOVE

When I say LOVE, what does strikes your mind? Maybe your answer is girlfriend/boyfriend, mom, dad, siblings or some other person. But what if I tell you that you have forgotten the most important person in your list i.e. YOU.

Many of us may deny the fact that they love themselves because life maybe cruel to them or any other reason. I am no expert but I believe untill and unless you start loving yourself, no one will love you. Things will change once you start to love yourself, believe in yourself, trust yourself.

Why do we need other person in our lives? The answers maybe to support, cheer, celebrate, love, heal or share pain. But, you can do support, motivate yourselves when low . Cheer up by believing in yourself. Celebrate with our own self when it’s time to. Love yourself as much as you want from others to do. Be your backup support, heal yourself and no one can ever break you down.

This small word “love” contains deeper meanings in life. Some understands and some fail to. It is no compulsion to rely on others for being loved, you can love yourself more than anyone you can imagine of. Life will be exactly how you want. You can get whatever you want if you start saying every morning to yourself “Yes, I Love You, I believe in you, you can achieve anything and everything“. In no time you will get everything you wish for.

Treat yourself. Take yourself out for dates. Bring presents for yourself. Hug yourself. Compliment yourself. Celebrate yourself. Because life is when you “LOVE YOURSELF“.

WHAT IF?

Since I was born, I have been always told that there is someone up above the clouds who have finalized all our destinies, who have plans for you, who will always support you and be there for you whenever you face highs and lows in life. Since then, in my every success I thank him and in my every loss I pray him. I am also sure that it’s not just me to do so but you do the same too.

Everyone have an ultimate one to trust when they can’t find anyone else. Whenever a person is in trouble, they say “Trust in God, he will make everything fall into places“.But sometimes I wonder WHAT IF there is no God? WHAT IF there is no one to show paths? WHAT IF there is no one watching you?

For everytime you say “God is here for justice” have you ever thought what if there is no one up there for justice? For every poor person you see and say “Bless him” ever wondered what if there is no one to bless? For every person you see struggling and pray for their pink health, what if there is no one to hear your prayers? What if everything you do or get is all about this planet and nothing far that this?

Life will be hard if you assume that there is no magic, the magic of him. We all are bound to a soul who may never exist. We are dependent on a power that may not be there. A care taker that may never care!

Sometimes this things shocks me too, but somewhere or another, everyone believes that there is an ultimate power who is there for you no matter what, there is someone to get your life back on track. This belief have done infinite miracles and for sure “Believing is magic“.

After all, we all know God is always there for you no matter you agree or not. You will always have him when you loose everyone else, he will be there to trust you, admire you, cheer you up and bless you 🙂

Our unpredictable world.

Today morning when I woke up, I felt lil’ lazy. I usually don’t check my phone as soon as I wake up but today morning I grabbed it to check on some quick happenings around the world.

I logged into my Instagram and started to surf. I came up with a feed which displayed Sridevi’s photo, when I looked down for the caption it read “A great soul has left us today”, I hoped it to be a rumour but the more I scrolled the more the same news bombarded my feed wall. I was completely shocked and tensed.
The fact that how unpredictable life can be, tensed me. No one would have ever thought about this thing. She was just 54 and healthy, having no major illness. Just an instant pain in the heart and everything was over.

Something stuck my mind and a sense of fear ran throughout my body. Tears started to flow from my eyes and I couldn’t control them. When I asked myself what’s troubling you? Then I came through images in my mind of how unaware her family would had been? They were just enjoying a family wedding and might have been planning to go back soon to their home. Home where whole family stays, home where a mother is. How troubling this news had been to her daughters and family? How hard it will be to face such a great loss?

While thinking about all this, I was sensing some great fear inside me, the fear which told me that I too live in the same unpredictable world, where anything can happen anytime, anywhere.

Aren’t you too scared by this fact?

NEW YEAR

It is about to be a NEW YEAR in just few days, actually in two days. With this coming year, everyone has a resolution to follow, everyone has a target to achieve, everyone has goal to reach. Eva too have a new year revolution but it is slightly different from others, something which most people cannot think as a resolution because what she have decided is slightly different from others. Her resolution title is “Do something nice for others every day”.

Eva is a very kind hearted girl with a soft corner for every random person she sees on her way who is needy. Needy for food, needy for money, needy for love, needy for help and needy to help. She always thought that every single person in the world has a other side of life. A side which wants to save some time from daily chaos and spend it with the one who needs them. By the word ‘help‘ people often misbelief it with just giving their money. But Eva have learnt that the word help does not only stand for giving your spare money, she have seen people having enough money but no one to spend their time with and no one to call them their ‘friend’, there are kids who have no one to play with, there are old women who have no one to talk to and also there are young people who have no one to direct them the way of life and because of which they end up being on wrong paths. Eva has seen everything at a very young age of 15, she is glad she has parents who give enough time to her but felt bad for those who don’t have anyone. Since then she is trying to help each and everyone by whatever way possible but this still feels nothing with what she wants to achieve.

Eva was 16 when she asked her group of friends to take an initiative to do something big but no one agreed on this saying ‘We don’t got enough money for ourselves, how will we help others?’ She tried to explain them that helping is not just about money but about having a will to help others, but no one agreed on her. Now she is so clear that in the coming year, she will make friends only with people who has feelings to help others. She have made up her mind that even though she gets to eat less, she will save for others who are starving to death.

Somewhere she had read these few lines and since then it became her way of life….

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone.”

Now it’s my turn to ask

What’s your new year resolution?

THE BLIND TRUST-II

With years of hard work and struggle, Girija was now an HR manager of a reputed company. In all 6years she completely focused on her career and never let her past affect her work. She was working in Wipro Technologies, Airoli. The only thing mattered to her was her career and so her colleague as well as her boss was very impressed by her work.

One fine day, there was a interview held in her company for hiring new employees.Girija with her HR partner Rajiv were about to initiate the interview process.Girija shivered a bit when the paper read “Varun” in the list of interviewees.Varun was called for the interview from the queue outside the door.

Finally she relaxed when Varun entered inside was not the one she knew. Interview process was completed and they selected Varun because he was good for the job and Girija never let her personal life come in with her professional life.

Varun wanted to talk to Girija and thank her for giving him a platform to work.Girija never replied Varun whenever he tried to interact whenever they crossed path. This made Varun feel bad about him and wanted to know the reason behind this kind of attitude towards him of Girija.

One day after office she was leading home in her car.She drived by herself. She never kept a driver because she loved driving. On the way back home her car suddenly stopped and she came to know there was some sort of engine failure. After minutes Varun stood by her on his bike.
May I give you a lift, mam? asked Varun.

No thanks, I’ll hire a cab”

“Cabs aren’t running today”

“I’ll manage”

After insisting, she agreed for a lift on his bike.He asked why she behaved like this to him? She didn’t wanted to share with him.But with a promise that he won’t try to talk to her again she told about her past connection with his name.He understood the whole thing and felt sorry for her.He dropped Girija home and drove off.

Varun felt really bad about Girijas story. He wanted to do something to make her feel good. But couldn’t think of any good idea.In next few days, he tried to talk to her but she obscured her glance. He started to feel something for Girija after realising how brave she was,how strong she stood and how excellently she fought with life.He decided to disclose his feelings to Girija.

It was Varun‘s birthday that day, from the time he came office he kept looking for her.He wanted to propose Girija to be his friend. He believed that she won’t deny his proposal on his special day.But that day Girija didn’t came to office. He had his worst birthday ever.

After few days when he saw Girija he ran towards her.

Girija..Girija please listen to me. I need to talk to you”

“And I don’t”

“Please mam?”

“Say”

Ok Girija, I want to say that I felt really bad about whatever you have been through in life. But I am very much impressed about your courage and strength.I would love to have a friend like to you from whom I can learn how to tackle with hard times in life.I don’t want to know anything about your faded past, I am interested to know about your admirable present, your wishes, likes, dislikes, everything. Please do give me a chance.”

“And I don’t want any friend” said Girija and left. She felt bad to give such a bitter reply to him but this is what her blind trust made her learn in life.

Varun felt very broken with her reply. He went home upset.Whenever he came to office he tried not to look at Girija and if done than he ignored her.

Girija too felt bad for him. But she didn’t wanted to repeat the same thing she did 6years back. She cannot trust someone so blindly again. She didn’t wanted any guy to get the same chance once again. So she stood intense.

6 YEARS LATER…..

Mummy dekho maine family photo draw ki hai” said Rehan Girija‘s 5 year old boy.

Papa ko bhi dikhao beta“.

Rehan ran towards dad Varun.

Varun took infinite tries to talk to Girija and be his friend ,finally he succeeded in winning her friendship and no sooner he won her trust as well as her love too.Varun believed that with good intentions and a pure heart you can win everything in the world and so he won her heart. He not only shared Girija‘s present but also weaved his future with her.

THE BLIND TRUST

Imagica” they screamed when dad asked where they would like to go for their winter vacations.Girija and her siblings Amol and Kritika were planning for a trip from long ago, finally this year their dad agreed to take them to a small trip. Girija was afraid of heights but agreed for an amusement park because her siblings wanted to visit Imagica.

Finally the day arrived and all were ready to go.They packed important stuffs and drove in their Swift. The first ride they visited was “Mambo Chai Chama – Crazy Tea Cups“.The whole family took a joyous ride, laughed and screamed. Next they visited several similar rides and now they reached “Scream Machine“. This was a very thrilling ride where the machine took it’s passengers in a pendulum fashion to an extreme height and dropped at an instance leading to complete circle and then again in same pattern it came to rest.Everyone agreed to go but this 20 year old Girija denied because she was dealing with “Acrophobia“.

Girija was standing at the gate and was watching her family enjoying the ride.
“Hey! Didn’t liked the ride?” a boy asked approaching to her. He was tall and wore a winter jacket, wore a black shaded “Rayban” goggle. His hair was shiny black.
“Nothing like that, just afraid of heights” she said.
“Ooh I am sorry.Well Myself Varun .Actually I am here with my friends and they are in “Salimgarh“-a haunted house here and I don’t like to visit horror places”
“Are you too dealing with a phobia?”
“Somewhat like that. Let’s sit and talk? They(family) will take some time now to come back”
“Okay sure”

They sat at a nearby small coffee restaurant and had small conversation over a  coffee talking about their schools and family. Girija told about her hobbies and goals in life and how she likes to do paintings. Varun introduced about his love for bikes and bike rides and places he had visited uptill now. Before her family arrived, he wrote his number on a tissue paper and placed in front of her.She grabbed it and put it in her jeans pocket and left.

Next day she texted him and that’s where their conversation begun. Girija stayed at Andheri while Varun stayed at Goregaon.Varun managed to visit Andheri once a week to meet her. They spent some quality time together everytime they. They generated a good bond uptill now.Girija fell in love with this boy but never told him.One day Varun called her and told about the night club on the next day but they only took couples entry. He asked her if she would like to join him.She agreed.

“Thank you for coming.” Said Varun

“I like clubs”

“Let’s dance”

Varun insisted her to take a shot of Whisky and took her to the dance floor. In a few time she started to feel dizzy but Varun didn’t let her go.He touched her waist and grabbed her too close to him.Girija insisted to leave her but he didn’t let her go.After a moment she collapsed.

When she woke up she couldn’t remember what happened the last night, she only had images of club in her mind. She didn’t knew what happened while she was unconscious. She tried hard to regain her memory but couldn’t.Her head as well as full body  was twitching  with pain. She couldn’t figure what was happening with her.She called Varun but he didn’t picked her call. She tried a million of times but wasn’t able to connect to him.She sent him dozens of messages but  didn’t get a single reply.

She went to the washroom for a quick shower in hope that her body will relax a  little by a hot shower. While in shower she discovered that there was an intense pain between her legs. She was unable to understand what was happening, she tried hard to remember.Suddenly a flash of memory stroked her mind, what she saw was a hotel room, her friend Varun and she in trance state. She shivered because now she realised that she was “RAPED” by her friend. She cried her heart out because she trusted blindly, because she was being used, because she had been a puppet of someone’s hand. She spent next few hours crying in the shower and blaming herself for being too easy to get used, for being too available, for being too kind hearted.

She decided to visit Varun‘s place. But when she got there she came to know that Varun told him unrealistic address of his house. She was completely broken now.She wanted to end her life but didn’t because she dont want to be weak in front of her family, she dont want to be a powerless example for her siblings. So she decided to restart her life and NEVER LOVE AGAIN.

To be continued…..

A NOVEL

I am going to read atleast uptill 1am today, said Naina. She was reading her another novel “Our impossible love” by Durjoy Dutta. Reading novels was her favourite part of the day. Every time she found some spare time, she started reading a book.Where “Our impossible love” was her 31st book she was reading. She used to carry those novels to college too, so that if there was some extra period she could read it.
Anuj her classmate knew about her love towards book. He knew he secretly liked her but never said. He didn’t liked reading book, he didn’t read a single  novel yet. He always tried to find a chance to talk to her but couldn’t.

Another day after class Anuj was in hurry and collapsed with Naina, the novel in her hand fall on the ground. Picking the book up, Anuj said “I guess you don’t like spoilers”. “You have read this book?” Naina exclaimed. Anuj replied “Yes, few days back. It is a lovely book”. He knew he lied. “Well, I won’t mind if you tell me the whole story”. Finding an excuse Anuj said that he was getting late and wouldn’t be able to tell her the story today.
Anuj managed to buy the same book from a book store as soon as he left the college and started reading it. Sending a friend request on Facebook  he texted “Finished the book  yet?” Naina accepted his request and replied “Not yet :)” He stayed awake the whole night reading. He skipped class next day so he could finish the book and hide himself from Naina.
Anuj met Naina after class the next day and  went for a talk to the canteen.
“Where was you yesterday?” Naina asked.

“Oh,I wasn’t feeling good yesterday”

“How are you now?”

“I am good. You want me to tell the story?”

“Oh yes, of course”

He narrated the whole story in an  another hour over a cup of coffee and biscuits. Naina was impressed about how he remembered each detail so clearly about the book.

With running time their friendship grew stronger and stronger and now they got the tag as “Best Friends”. Everytime Naina bought a new book ,she used to  read it the whole and told the story to him  at the same canteen with tea and some biscuits. She came to know that Anuj didn’t liked reading books and how he managed to tell her the story. She didn’t got angry because he lied but she was happy that he worked hard to keep his word.
After seven years, things didn’t change. Naina read books and told the story but this time not only to Anuj but also to their kids – Yuvraj and Ananya.

THIS IS A MAN’S WORLD

Few days back while returning from college in a auto, there was a couple sitting beside me,the man was wearing his office uniform, seems like he was a salesman of a company. He with her wife was visiting a relative nearby. After few minutes her husband initiated a conversation saying “I can’t keep with this job,the boss is not paying me enough and also he doesn’t behave good with me.I will be looking for some other job which will provide me with good pay and appreciates my work.”  She replied to this “I was having a dream from the time I was young, that someday I will be working on my own and will support my parents and partner afterwards in terms of finance. If you don’t mind than I can generate my resume and submit it at some places, soon I’ll start working.Hence it won’t be a burden on you and I’ll also be able to utilize my spare time”. To this, he lost control and said in high-pitched voice “Don’t you ever dare to say this again. You wont be working till the time I m alive.Let the time come when we don’t get food to eat but I am not letting you to step out of home for work. You belong in kitchen,do your stuff, don’t try to peep in my matters or think of doing any job.” After this, extreme silent went on,the auto driver and I were completely shocked to this statement and she burst out in tears.
A man in his childhood develops various dreams say his own house, car, places to visit, his intended job and many other things. A girl child too generates her dream and wishes. But after tying the knot, everything a man cares for is his own wishes to come true,he will buy things he wished for,he will go for weekends he thought of, he will work where he finds comfortable BUT what about her? Does he ever asks  where will she like to go? Does he asks  what will she like to eat at dinner? Or does he asks what will she like to do in her life? Most men thinks that his wife’s happiness only lies in his satisfaction and joy. But they forget that she too have her own emotions, dreams and wills.

The day from when women starts to live her life as she wants, it will be renamed as “THIS IS A BEST OF BOTH WORLDS”.

SHE and her education

In her school days, she used to be very clever and always landed in Top 5 in her class. She always used to achieve good grades not by luck but by hard work. She used to stay awake at night for her exams, missed her favourite cartoon shows, skipped playing her favourite games with her friends and performed her best. She had no hobbies like playing a guitar, reading books or cooking, all she did was study. Having so much efforts put in studies she generated various dreams like working with a fat salary, buying her own car and house, fulfilling her dreams and essentials by herself. She used to spend nights awake dreaming of her beautiful future. Her parents were too proud on her and supported in planning her future. After she scored first class in SSC, her parents started to think about her career and despite of belonging to a middle class family they started thinking of her career in doctor or chemist or engineer,or anything she likes to become ,which will help her lead to a bright future. As she grew she too became very focused about her future and started to plan about further studies.Time travelled and she completed her graduation. She started to think about further studies (PG) from her dream college. Here she was about to get a job and fulfill her long awaited dreams, her parents certainly didn’t cared about her career plans ,all they started to think was about her MARRIAGE. They didn’t cared about what the girl wanted to get in her life, they didn’t cared about what she really wanted to be,it was suddenly like everyone in the universe wanted to see her married as soon as possible. And now she started to struggle to choose between her bright career or a  nicer in-laws. Her days and nights started to pass in depression, she was stressed out and couldn’t decide anything.
This was a a story about an imaginary anonymous girl but for sure, she if of real somewhere, struggling between things in her life. This not only stands for girls but also boys who carves their beautiful dreams but can’t make them real because of various reasons.

Despite of the world become so advanced, every second person in it has a same story. People changed things around themselves but unfortunately didn’t changed themselves, their thinking ,their minds. Everyone wants their son/daughter to earn in millions but not everyone wants to invest in them. Everyone wants to see  their child at peak but don’t want them to make decisions on their own, choose their own path, carve their own beautiful dreams….
